Ingredients:

 

For cake:

¾ tsp. baking soda

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup white sugar

½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking powder

½ cup milk buttermilk

4 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 tsp. blue color

1 large egg

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Blue frosting, to decorate

 

Directions:

 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two 6″ cake pans with baking paper and grease lightly.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the dry ingredients & set aside.
  • In a bowl, beat together the buttermilk, oil, egg and vanilla extract for 1 minute. Add in the dry mixture & whisk until well combined.
  • Put batter between the cake pans & bake for 20 minutes.
  • Frost the cooled cake, serve and enjoy!
