2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

¾ cup + 2 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened

3 2/3 cups icing sugar

5 tbsp. cocoa powder

Pinch of salt

1 ½ tsp. cayenne

2 tbsp. milk




  • Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and melt the chocolate chips in 20 second intervals. Set aside to cool.
  • In a bowl, using a hand-mixer, beat together the butter and sugar for 1 minute.
  • Add in the cocoa powder, cooled chocolate, salt, cayenne and milk and beat until well combined and smooth.
  • Frosting is now ready to be used.
